Amends was written and recorded on a day I decided to start a "new" project. This took place in my apartment bedroom in Danville. Many things were recorded that day, one of which being the song Empty Phase. Amends was written on acoustic guitar and somehow turned into a drum and bass song. I intended for this song to be the single of "Petrified Hitchcock" but I never dropped one before the release.
lyrics
Holdin' ample time to be swollen, praise your unfit mind, wasting time in odd despair
That’s how we were found in the downtown, waiting on your lies, bolted eyes and rock filled pants
Is it time to make amends? I’m deranged and under kept
We don’t want a world of lost flesh, they just want a way to balance it
Every other day’s like on the grind, I just want a girl that’s(whose) lost her mind
Thinking on a cold damp day and waiting for the time to send things on
In the hours of your stalling I’ve been undermined and criticized for things not there
Oddly days have turned to nothing, waiting on the time and that’s just fine but I’m not there
Is it time to waste a stare on a day that wasn’t fair?
We don’t want a world of lost flesh, they just want a way to balance it
Every other day’s like a ghost town, streets empty no one’s around
Did they ever make it far west and will they ever learn to send things on?..
