about

Margery was written with Machiavellian and Universal Frost and was recorded in the basement of Ives Hall at SSU. Even though I've always liked the song, I wasn't sure if it fit with the rest of "Petrified Hitchcock".

lyrics

Margery, we can’t be free
She told me once that I was overworked and losing all I had
She was right and I was glad
Margery, she ate the sun, she spit it back out on the sidewalk where we run
How was I supposed to know that she was on an inner fall
It’ll never be the same without Margery in my days
Cynical in the space where I lay
And no one understands because they all live a way typical to the way we fade
The way we fade into grey
Margery, we cant be free
She told me once that I was overqualified for my life
So I polished off my visit with the sky
In good time, Margery and I will praise our lives
Separated in a vision we derived
